China Telecom was voted, for the second year in a row, the coveted Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations for Large-cap Companies at IR Magazine Awards - Greater China 2013 by investors. In addition, based on IR Magazine's annual surveys of investors and analysts for its awards in the US, Canada, Europe, Greater China, South East Asia and Brazil, China Telecom was ranked No. 5 in The Global Top 50 and was the only Asian company among the top 10 companies.

China Telecom further attained five awards at IR Magazine Awards - Greater China 2013:

IR Magazine is the leading voice in global investor relations for 26 years. The IR Magazine Awards - Greater China 2013 were decided solely by an independent survey of investors and analysts, all of whom are located in the region. Investors and analysts were asked to vote for their favorite company in each award category. This year, 370 respondents took part in the survey. The company with the most votes in each respective category wins the award.

China Telecom Corporation Limited's 2012 Annual Report won gold awards in the 2013 International ARC Awards and Vision Awards Annual Report Competition by The League of American Communications Professionals LLC (LACP).

"International ARC Awards" is the world's largest and independent international competition honoring excellence in annual reports and corporate communications. "International ARC Awards" is branded as the "Academy Awards of Annual Reports" according to the financial media. Judging is based on the values of creativity, clarity, effectiveness, and excellence of the annual reports. It was the 27th annual competition.

The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) 13th Vision Awards is one of the world's most influential annual report competition. All entries were judged by experienced media professionals, based on the overall impression, cover design, chairman's statement, report narrative, report financials, creativity, message clarity and information accessibility of the annual reports.

China Telecom Corporation Limited has been voted by professional investors "No.1 Most Honored Company in Asia" and "Asia's Best Investor Relations Company in telecommunications sector" in 2013 All-Asia-Executive-Team ranking organised by《Institutional Investor》. In addition, Mr. Wang Xiaochu, Chairman and CEO of China Telecom was voted "Asia's Best CEO in telecommunications sector" and Madam Wu Andi, Executive Vice President and CFO of the Company, was voted "Asia's Best CFO in telecommunications sector".

All-Asia-Executive-Team ranking, by《Institutional Investor》, a highly-regarded international financial magazine, was organised for the third year to recognise Asia ex-Japan region's executives and companies. The survey participants were asked to nominate best executives and companies in their coverage universe that stand out at a number of management attributes. This year the ranking is conducted by a record number of participants from over 990 buy-side portfolio managers and analysts and 610 sell-side analysts in over 625 financial institutions.

China Telecom Corporation Limited was awarded "The Best of Asia - Icon on Corporate Governance" in Corporate Governance Asia's 9th Recognition Awards 2013. In addition, Mr. Wang Xiaochu, Chairman & CEO, was honoured with "Asian Corporate Director Recognition Awards 2013".

The awards are in recognition of corporate who has outstanding performance in various aspects including overall corporate governance track record, management discipline, disclosure and transparency, the discipline of the board of directors and its sub-committees, investor relations practices and corporate social responsibility practices.

China Telecom Corporation Limited has been voted again by institutional investors and analysts for three consecutive years as "Overall Best Managed Company in Asia" in the 13th annual poll of Asia's top companies by FinanceAsia, a leading and reputable financial magazine in Asia.

In addition, Mr. Wang Xiaochu, Chairman and CEO of China Telecom was named the "Best CEO in China", and Madam Wu Andi, Executive Vice President and CFO of the Company, was titled the "Best CFO in China". China Telecom was further accredited by FinanceAsia with the following awards:

The scoring of the awards and recognitions are mainly based on academics and investors' opinion on companies' performance in the aforesaid areas.

China Telecom Corporation Limited was accredited with "Platinum Award for All-round Excellence" and "China's Most Promising Companies" by "The Asset", a reputable financial magazine in Asia. The platinum award winners have attained rigorous standards in all six categories of corporate endeavors: corporate governance, management acumen, financial performance, social responsibility, environmental responsibility and investor relations based on a ranking of listed companies in Asia by leading investment professionals and research analysts.

China Telecom ranked 14th in "Fortune China CSR Ranking 2013" by Fortune China magazine. China Telecom was also accredited as one of the "Top 25 Most Responsible Companies in China".

The "Fortune China CSR Ranking" offers a standardized evaluation of corporate social responsibility practices across the leading companies in China. The ranking system covered 12 standards (including environmental management, pollution control, usage of resources, adaptability and diversity of climate, labor relations, commitment to the community, supply chain and human rights, structure and diversity of the Board, consumers, fair market policies, strategy and commitment of social responsibility, social responsibility communication, etc.)

Euromoney's "Best Managed and Governed Companies - Asia poll 2013" is one of the most reputable polls in Asia. This is the 14th year of the event and is highly recognized by capital market participants. This year the Poll is based on a survey of 130 leading equity analysts at the largest investment banks and research institutes in Asia Pacific region who were asked to name which companies were the most impressive across a number of factors including management accessibility, accounting transparency and corporate governance procedures amongst others. Honoured with these highly regarded awards, it demonstrates that investment managers, analysts and capital market participants affirm China Telecom's excellent management performance and corporate governance with high recognition for the leading standard of its execution capability and transparency in Asia.

China Telecom Corporation Limited has been voted by investors "Best Overall for Corporate Governance in China" in Corporate Governance Poll 2012 by Asiamoney, a leading and reputable financial magazine in Asia.
