China Telecom Corporation Limited was honored with “The Best Listed Company” in the thirteenth “Golden Bauhinia Awards”.
The “Golden Bauhinia Awards”, which was jointly organized by Hong Kong Tai Kung Wen Wei Media Group with government bureaus, renowned industry organizations, chambers of commerce and financial institutions in Hong Kong and mainland China, was determined based on relative and integrated assessments of listed companies and their senior executives, as well as securities firms in Hong Kong and mainland China. Its objective is to provide a credible platform to enhance the image and status of Chinese companies in the international arena and facilitate economic cooperation among the cross-strait four regions.
China Telecom Corporation Limited’s 2022 Annual Report “Go For Smart Future, Grow With China Telecom Cloud” was honoured with “Excellence Award for H Share & Red Chip Entries” in the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) 2023 Best Annual Reports Awards.
Organised by HKMA since 1973, the Best Annual Reports Awards was designed to honour the publication of accurate, informative, well-presented and timely annual reports by both general companies and non-profit making and charitable organisations. The judging criteria include conformity with accounting standards, the disclosure requirements of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) and Hong Kong Companies Ordinance, provision of information relating to ESG, overall presentation, understandability and clarity, summary of past results and highlights, management discussion and analysis, indications of prospects, promptness of reporting and accessibility on the organisation’s website. This year, a total of 93 reports were reviewed by the Panel of Adjudicators which comprised of accounting and financial professionals, company secretaries, scholars and veteran corporate communications professionals.
China Telecom Corporation Limited was accredited with “Best Investor Relations Team” and “Best Social Responsibility Initiative” in the poll of “ESG Corporate Awards 2023” by The Asset.
Organised by The Asset, a reputable financial magazine in Asia, “ESG Corporate Awards 2023” is now in its 23rd year, the longest running ESG awards in Asia. The “Best Investor Relations Team” acknowledges the efforts made by the Company's investor relations team in building close relationship between managements and investors, while the “Best Social Responsibility Initiative” recognises the Company's Caring Stations project for bringing community members closer to one another by providing them with warm services. The accreditation received by China Telecom is a testimony to the achievements of the Company’s outstanding performance in investor relations and social responsibility.
China Telecom Corporation Limited was voted by investors as the “Most Outstanding Company in China – Communication Services Sector” in Asiamoney’s “Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll 2023” (“the Poll”).
Organised by Asiamoney, a leading financial magazine, the Poll invited fund managers, analysts, as well as bankers and ratings agencies to nominate the most outstanding company. Voters are asked to consider a company’s overall performance including its financial performance, management team, IR activities and CSR initiatives. In total, 1,225 voters took part in the voting and 7,653 votes were received for publicly listed companies across 13 markets in Asia this year. The results recognise 194 companies as being the most outstanding for their sectors and in their markets.
China Telecom Corporation Limited was voted as “Most Honoured Companies in Asia” in the All-Asia-Executive Team Poll 2023 organised by Institutional Investor, a leading financial magazine. The Company obtained this accolade every single year in the poll’s 13-year history. The Poll received votes from a total of 5,660 buy-side professionals and 814 sell-side analysts to vote for distinguished companies and executives in the region on several core areas, including financial disclosure, services and communication, ESG, Board of Directors, CEO, CFO and IR professional. China Telecom was honoured as “Most Honoured Companies in Asia” out of 1,608 companies that received votes, while the Company also ranked 2nd in multiple categories in the “Telecommunications” sector, including:
