China Telecom Officially Launches Its 4G Service

On 14 February 2014, China Telecom Corporation Limited (HKEx: 728; NYSE: CHA) ("China Telecom") is pleased to announce that it officially launches its 4G service today.

In the initial phase of its launch, the 4G service packages include monthly, half-year and one-year plans. It will offer 4G service in almost one hundred cities in China. Customers can enjoy China Telecom's 100Mbps 4G service after selecting 4G data devices and service plans. The selection of 4G data devices (more than 10 models of data devices of both domestic and foreign brands) include datacard, MIFI and CPE, all of which support TD-LTE technology.
